We recently visited Denver to watch Sufjan Stevens play at Red Rocks. The concert was amazing, but what really blew us away was the time we spent in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. As per usual, we shot a ton of photos, and put together our first video, too.

Glazed Fig with Rosemary Balsamic Syrup
It sounds unlikely, but I happened to have all of these ingredients lying around when I unexpectedly needed to throw together a desert. In spite of having to shoot from the hip, it turned out to be a big hit. Enjoy!

Surf and Turf on an Indoor Grill
A friend of mine was renting an amazing house with a charcoal grill built into the kitchen. Unfortunately, said friend is moving out of said amazing house soon so we decided to take advantage of the amenities. Here’s what I threw together.

(Attempted) Turkey Hunting
My friend Smitty and I attempted to close out turkey hunting season at his family ranch. We were actually pretty successful when it came to calling some turkeys over, but unfortunately they never got into shooting range. That said, the trip did afford me plenty of time to take some great pictures around their amazing land.
Campfire Hawaiian BBQ Kebabs
I recently went (car) camping. Due to some unfortunate weather and some falsely advertised accomodations, I ended up having to cook the majority of our meals over a campfire. Of the many meals we put down out there, I think that this one turned out to be the most outstanding.

- Apple Cider Vinegar
- BBQ Sauce
- Pineapple
- Soy Sauce

Salmon Tartare
I had a cooking show on in the background while hanging out with a friend. On the show, the chef happened to be preparing a tartare. Inspired by television, hunger, and what I happened to have in the kitchen, I threw this together.

- Salmon
- Mayonnaise
- Celery
- Onion

- Heavy cream
- Egg yolks
- Sugar
- Vanilla bean
- Mint
- Laphroaig

Gochujang Chicken Tenders
I made dinner for a friend while watching the first ever College Football National Championship game under the new tournament system. In keeping with the theme of ballsports, I decided to go with a sportsbar staple with a little Korean twist.
