Cherrystone Clam with Grilled Lemon

I spent the last weekend of duck season on the coast with my friends Jonfer and Smitty.  In addition to having exceptionally Texan nicknames, they are also avid outdoorsmen.  On the walk back from one of our hunts they suggested that we take a detour to do some clam digging.  I’m pretty happy we made that choice.  With a half hour investment we filled up a small ice chest with freshly picked clams.  Here’s a pic of us at said ice chest:
